MoodWatcher Privacy

MoodWatcher is a single-user research project. It collects health and mood data only from the owner of this device, and stores it exclusively in that user's personal iCloud Documents container.

Data sources

• Apple HealthKit (read-only, with the user's explicit per-type consent).
• Withings Cloud API (read-only, with the user's explicit OAuth consent).
• Mood entries the user logs in the watch app.

Where data goes

• The user's own iCloud Documents folder.
• The user's own local Mac for analysis.

Where data does not go

• No third-party servers.
• No analytics, no advertising, no tracking.
• No data is shared with anyone.

Withings data

When the user connects their Withings account, MoodWatcher requests the minimum scopes needed for mood prediction (heart-rate variability, sleep, activity, and ECG events). The OAuth refresh token is stored in the iOS Keychain on-device. The user may revoke access at any time from their Withings account settings.
